Mobile Banking

Try out our New Mobile Deposit!

Before you begin, make sure you have an active online banking account with Bank of Utah. Then, register your smartphone for mobile banking. Instructions on activating your phone.

Getting the app:

  1. The app is available for the iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play. If you already have the app, simply update to the latest version to get access to Mobile Deposit.
  2. Log into online banking at bankofutah.com to obtain an activation code for the app. You can generate an activation code by going to the User Services tab and clicking the Mobile Enrollment link.
  3. Sign into the app using the activation code and the same userID and password you use for online banking.

Handling the check:

  1. Endorse the check with your signature and the words "FOR MOBILE DEPOSIT ONLY BANK OF UTAH"
  2. Retain the check for at least 7 days. During that time, keep the check in a secure place. You may want to mark or fold the check to indicate to yourself or others that the check has been deposited. After 7 days, shred the check.
  3. IMPORTANT: Improperly endorsed checks may be rejected at the discretion of the Bank.

Making the deposit:

  1. Log into the app.
  2. Navigate to the Check Deposit screen and click the Deposit button.
  3. Complete each of the five fields by clicking on them and following the instructions. This includes taking pictures of the front and back of the check, entering the amount of the check, selecting the account for deposit, and supplying an email address if you wish to receive a confirmation of the bank’s receipt of the check.

Mobile Banking Use our Mobile Banking app on your smart phone to view account balances and recent transactions, transfer money between accounts, and find nearby branch and ATM locations.
Text Banking Don't have a smart phone? Text Banking allows you to receive current balance and recent transaction information instantly by text message. No log-in or Internet required!
To register your phone for Mobile and Text Banking, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to your Internet banking account
  2. Go to the User Services tab. Under Manage Account, select Mobile Enrollment.
  3. Select your mobile carrier and enter your phone number (801-123-4567).
  4. A text message will be sent to your phone. Reply to this text message with the Activation Code displayed on your computer screen.
  5. You will receive another text message confirming your phone activation. To initiate Mobile Banking, click on the link provided in the text message. Enter the Activation Code again, as well as your mobile phone number. You may now continue to use our mobile banking application.
