OGDEN, Utah, April 27, 2026 — Bank of Utah has been named Best Community Bank in the 2026 Best of State Awards, recognizing more than 70 years of steady performance, innovative financial services and a longstanding commitment to communities throughout Utah.
Best of State celebrates Utah’s most outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations that demonstrate excellence in their fields, embrace innovation and contribute to the state’s quality of life.
For decades, Bank of Utah has helped families buy homes, supported local businesses and provided trusted financial guidance across generations. The commitment to people and community continues to guide everything we do.
“We’re honored to be recognized by Best of State and remain focused on unlocking the potential of our team members, clients and communities, creating lasting prosperity today and for generations to come,” said Hansen.
That mission was reflected in measurable ways throughout 2025. Bank of Utah team members contributed more than 2,000 volunteer hours, with 313 employees supporting 107 organizations statewide. More than 30 team members served on nonprofit and community boards.
Additional community efforts included assembling more than 1,000 hygiene kits for teens, collecting 600+ bags of winter clothing through the state’s largest clothing drive and distributing $200,000 in matching grants to 30 nonprofits through the Federal Home Loan Bank Member Impact Fund.
A central focus of the bank’s outreach is its Financial Literacy for Utah Teens initiative, part of the bank’s title sponsorship of the Bank of Utah Championship at Black Desert Resort.
Developed in partnership with The Policy Project and the PGA TOUR, the program will introduce financial education to 86 Teen Centers statewide. These centers provide safe spaces and essential services, including counseling, tutoring and basic needs support for youth facing homelessness or economic hardship.
The initiative is expected to help more than 15,000 Utah students build independence and create pathways toward long-term stability.
The 2026 Best of State winners will be honored at the annual awards gala on June 2 at the Salt Palace Grand Ballroom. Explore more of Bank of Utah’s recent awards and recognitions here.
