Using Security Tokens for Online Cash Management
For the security of your business transactions, certain cash management services require a VeriSign token provided by Bank of Utah. Use the token to generate a unique security code each time you access wire transfer, remote deposit, direct deposit, ACH and other features within Internet banking.
Customers can choose to receive secure codes via a token device, a token app on your mobile phone or tablet, or both.
Businesses must transition all cash management activity to the new Internet banking system and begin using the new VeriSign token by September 30, 2011.

Please return old Vasco tokens to a Bank of Utah branch.

Activating your VeriSign token
Activating your VeriSign token is simple. Go to the Internet banking login area at and enter your current access ID and temporary passcode in the upper login area. Your temporary passcode will be your access ID + your previous 4-digit user PIN. Example: johndoe1234
Click 'activate security token' and follow the steps below:
  • Step 1: Locate the security token credential ID on the back of the token (S/N: 123456789123) and enter the security token ID.
  • Step 2: Press the button on the security token to generate a security code number. Security codes are valid for 30 seconds.
  • Step 3: Enter security code.
  • Step 4: Click 'continue.' You will be notified that your security token activation was successful. You may now continue on to Internet banking.
Using your mobile phone or tablet as your token
In place of using the token device, you can use a mobile smart phone or tablet to generate unique secure passcodes. Most smart phones and mobile devices are supported, including iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone and more.

Using your security token after activation
At login: The new Internet banking system will calculate a risk score based on how you typically use the system. You will be only prompted for the token security code when the risk score exceeds a specified point.
Within Internet banking: Your security code will always be required to access specific areas of Internet banking, such as ACH, wire transfers or sub-user administration.
