Caring for Memory: A 2025 Member Impact Grant Story

As part of the 2025 Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Member Impact Fund, Bank of Utah helped secure more than $200,000 in grant funding for 30 nonprofit organizations — more than any other financial institution in the program. These grants are helping local organizations throughout Utah create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities they serve.

Memory Matters Utah

Memory Matters Utah is dedicated to supporting individuals with memory loss and their caregivers through education, respite care and social engagement. Serving communities throughout Southern Utah, the organization provides a safe and enriching environment for seniors while offering vital relief and guidance for families navigating the challenges of dementia and cognitive decline.

Bank of Utah and its employees have supported Memory Matters through both financial contributions and community involvement. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to honoring and caring for Utah’s aging population with compassion and respect.

Funding from the 2025 Member Impact Fund will allow the organization to expand its respite and activity programs, grow its staff capacity and provide essential resources to both clients and caregivers. These improvements will help ensure that individuals with memory loss continue to experience meaningful connection — and that their loved ones receive the support they need.
