Healing Young Hearts: A 2025 Member Impact Grant Story

As part of the 2025 Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Member Impact Fund, Bank of Utah helped secure more than $200,000 in grant funding for 30 nonprofit organizations — more than any other financial institution in the program. These grants are helping local organizations throughout Utah create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities they serve.

The Children's Center Utah

The Children’s Center Utah provides critical support for young students and their families, especially those facing homelessness or crisis. Through partnerships with schools and community agencies, the organization helps meet essential needs, offering food, clothing, temporary housing and emotional support for children navigating uncertainty.

With help from Bank of Utah and funding from the FHLB Des Moines Member Impact Fund, The Children’s Center Utah is strengthening its student resource centers and temporary housing programs, ensuring that at-risk students have access to safety, stability and care when it’s needed most.

This grant also supports the Center’s Therapeutic Preschool Program, which offers group therapy and skill-building sessions for young children working through anxiety, trauma and emotional challenges. By reaching children early with tailored support, the program helps them build resilience and move forward with confidence.

Bank of Utah’s support for The Children’s Center isn’t just about funding—it’s personal. Bryce Huff, SVP and Commercial Team Lead, lends his time and expertise as a board member, helping the organization grow its reach and better serve local families.
