As part of the 2025 Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Member Impact Fund, Bank of Utah helped secure more than $200,000 in grant funding for 30 nonprofit organizations — more than any other financial institution in the program. These grants are helping local organizations throughout Utah create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities they serve.

Box Elder School District Foundation
The Box Elder School District Foundation helps students across Box Elder County thrive. Through STEM programs, wellness initiatives and enriching opportunities, the foundation champions learning, growth and success both in and beyond the classroom.
With funding from the FHLB Des Moines Member Impact Fund, the foundation will provide updated technology, hands-on STEM tools and wellness resources designed to foster creativity, problem-solving and well-being among students.

Bank of Utah employees assembled and donated more than 300 hygiene kits to the school district.
Bank of Utah is honored to support these efforts through financial contributions, employee volunteerism and meaningful in-kind donations. One recent example: Bank of Utah team members assembled and donated more than 300 hygiene kits to the school district. Each kit included essential personal care items, financial literacy resources and handwritten notes of encouragement from employees — offering practical help, as well as a reminder that students are supported and valued by their community.
Two Bank of Utah team members — VP and Team Lead Matt Nelson and Treasury Management Sales Specialist Jamie Madsen — also serve on the foundation’s board. Their leadership reflects Bank of Utah’s belief that deep community involvement builds stronger connections and lasting impact. Together, they help guide initiatives that uplift students and strengthen education across Box Elder County.
