1,000 Hygiene Kits, $150,000 in Support and a Lasting Commitment to Utah Students

For more than 70 years, Bank of Utah has invested in strengthening communities across the state. The Bank leveraged its title sponsorship of the Bank of Utah Championship, the state's PGA Tour event held in October, to deepen its service to Utahns. By partnering with The Policy Project, Black Desert Resort, Reef Capital, Greater Zion, the PGA TOUR Wives Association and local schools, the Bank transformed tournament week into a moment of meaningful support for local students.

From early work on a new financial literacy program for Teen Centers to a hands-on service project at Snow Canyon High School, the Championship created a foundation for continued impact in the months and years ahead.

Supporting Teen Centers Across Utah

Teen Centers provide students with food, clothing, hygiene items, laundry facilities and a safe place to reset. When these needs are met with dignity, students show up to class more confidently and stay connected to their school community.

To support this statewide effort, the Bank of Utah Championship committed $150,000 toward Teen Centers and to help develop a new financial literacy program that the Bank will bring to Utah students. Development of the program began during Championship Week and will continue to grow over the coming year.

By participating in the partnership with The Policy Project, Bank of Utah team members positioned themselves to play an active role in future student support, including volunteer opportunities and direct engagement in Teen Centers.

“As a community bank, we want every student in Utah to feel supported and confident. When we come together like this, we are reminded that simple acts of care can strengthen families, schools and communities in lasting ways.”

Branden P Hansen, President of Bank of Utah

Service in Action at Snow Canyon High School

During Championship Week, Bank of Utah team members joined PGA TOUR families, The Policy Project, community partners and Snow Canyon students for a day of service focused on supporting Teen Centers in Washington County.

More than 45 volunteers and 40 Snow Canyon students assembled over 1,000 hygiene kits containing shampoo, deodorant, socks and other essentials that students need during the school day.

Students and volunteers also decorated HydroJugs with artwork and messages, turning everyday water bottles into reminders of care and connection. This hands-on project became a memorable connection point for students and volunteers alike.

“It helps to know there's a place where you can grab what you need and not feel judged. It makes it easier to show up for school and focus on the day.”
