Ogden, Utah, Aug. 05, 2026— Bank of Utah recently concluded its 2026 Summer Internship Program, providing seven college students with experience in community banking through hands-on projects, professional development and community service.
Throughout the summer, students from Utah State University, Weber State University, Brigham Young University and the University of Utah worked alongside professionals in multiple departments and branches across the Wasatch Front. Interns gained practical experience while contributing to projects that support the bank’s mission of serving customers and strengthening communities throughout Utah.
This year’s internship class included Adam Bendall, Ethan Evans, Ben Lamoreaux, Hope Mickey, Coleman Vickers, Amelia Santelli and Ashton Harrow.
Bank of Utah’s Summer Internship Program introduces college students to careers in community banking through mentorship, collaborative projects, professional development opportunities and community involvement. The program equips interns with valuable workplace skills while providing a firsthand look at the impact community banks have on the individuals, businesses and neighborhoods they serve.
As part of the program, the interns completed a community service project benefiting local first responders. They assembled and delivered 60 self-care kits to firefighters at six Salt Lake City fire stations. Each kit included everyday essentials, snacks and handwritten thank-you notes as a small gesture of appreciation for the firefighters’ dedication and service.
“Our interns embraced every opportunity to learn, collaborate and make a meaningful contribution throughout the summer,” said Nathaly Pimienta, Talent Acquisition Manager at Bank of Utah. “Our goal is to help develop future leaders while showing them the importance of building relationships, serving others and making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work.”
Bank of Utah values the energy, creativity and fresh perspectives each intern brought to the organization and looks forward to welcoming its next internship cohort in 2027.
