Enriching Lives: A 2025 Member Impact Grant Story

As part of the 2025 Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Member Impact Fund, Bank of Utah helped secure more than $200,000 in grant funding for 30 nonprofit organizations — more than any other financial institution in the program. These grants are helping local organizations throughout Utah create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities they serve.

Sistema Utah

Sistema Utah is a free afterschool program that serves more than 450 students in West Valley City. With a focus on low-income families, the program offers academic support, music instruction and enrichment activities five days a week — giving students a safe, engaging environment to learn and grow beyond the classroom.

Bank of Utah proudly supports Sistema Utah’s mission to lift young lives through education and the arts. The program creates meaningful opportunities for children to build confidence, develop skills and connect with caring mentors and teachers.

Funding from the 2025 Member Impact Fund will help provide healthy snacks, school supplies and continued academic support for students who depend on the structure and community that Sistema Utah provides each day.
