Sheltering Families: A 2025 Member Impact Grant Story

As part of the 2025 Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Member Impact Fund, Bank of Utah helped secure more than $200,000 in grant funding for 30 nonprofit organizations — more than any other financial institution in the program. These grants are helping local organizations throughout Utah create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities they serve.

Family Promise of Ogden

Family Promise of Ogden provides a lifeline for families navigating homelessness by offering prevention, shelter and stabilization services that help them regain their footing. The organization focuses on keeping families together while helping them transition from crisis to lasting stability through temporary housing and personalized support.

Bank of Utah supports Family Promise not only through financial donations and board leadership, but also by showing up when it matters most. Bank team members regularly cook and serve dinner for families staying in weekend shelters, and provide financial literacy education to help parents take control of their future.

With support from the 2025 Member Impact Fund, Family Promise will continue offering shelter and services that empower families to move forward into stable housing and a more hopeful chapter of life.
