Building Belonging: A 2025 Member Impact Grant Story

As part of the 2025 Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Member Impact Fund, Bank of Utah helped secure more than $200,000 in grant funding for 30 nonprofit organizations — more than any other financial institution in the program. These grants are helping local organizations throughout Utah create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities they serve.

English Language Center

The English Language Center in Cache Valley is a lifeline for many immigrants and refugees who are learning to navigate life in a new country.

By providing English classes in a welcoming environment, the center helps individuals build language skills, gain confidence and connect with their community. For many, it’s a first step toward employment, education and independence.

Bank of Utah has been proud to support the English Language center for over a decade. In 2025, the Member Impact Fund grant will help the center maintain and expand its ESL classes, support staffing needs and meet the growing demand from newly arrived refugees seeking to build a new life in northern Utah.
