Shaping Youth Potential: 2025 Member Impact Grant Story

As part of the 2025 Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Member Impact Fund, Bank of Utah helped secure more than $200,000 in grant funding for 30 nonprofit organizations — more than any other financial institution in the program. These grants are helping local organizations throughout Utah create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities they serve.

Boys & Girls Club of Weber-Davis

The Boys & Girls Club of Weber-Davis is a place where young people can feel safe, supported and inspired. Through afterschool programs focused on education, healthy lifestyles and character development, the club helps local youth build confidence, strengthen relationships and discover their full potential.

With support from Bank of Utah and funding through the FHLB Des Moines Member Impact Fund, the organization is expanding its food programs at 10 sites. The goal: to ensure children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds have access to nutritious meals alongside the enriching programs they count on each day.

The Boys & Girls Club of Weber-Davis recently acquired this Food Hub van to pick up food donations and distribute them to kids and families in need.

Bank of Utah’s connection to the Boys & Girls Club of Weber-Davis extends beyond funding. SVP Chief Deposit Officer Menah Strong also serves on the organization’s board, helping guide its mission and amplify its impact across the community.
