Presenter Bios
Tim Mahedy
Tim Mahedy is the founder and chief economist of Access/Macro, a macroeconomic consulting firm that delivers Wall Street–level economic research and actionable insights to banks. Drawing on more than 30 years of combined experience within the Federal Reserve System, the Access team provides timely research and detailed monthly forecasts to help regional and community banks stay ahead in today’s volatile economy.
Previously, Tim served as a senior economist at KPMG and as the president’s chief of staff and chief operating officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. He has also held economist roles at Bloomberg LP, the International Monetary Fund and Citibank, frequently appearing in the media to discuss economic conditions and outlooks.
Michael Jeanfreau (Ogden and Kaysville)
Michael Jeanfreau is a senior economist at the Department of Workforce Services. His expertise is focused on the economies of the Wasatch Front and Bear River Regions in Northern Utah. Jeanfreau, along with a team of economists at DWS, provides Utah businesses, community members and state and local agencies with data-rich analysis of the state’s labor market.
