David Pierce, SVP of Foreign Exchange at Bank of Utah, brings over 38 years of experience in international finance, foreign exchange, and trade finance. Born in Garland, Utah, his passion to “see the world” led him to a career advising multinational corporations on hedging strategies, transactional exposures, and derivative products. He has managed and trained high-performing teams, authored Managing Foreign Exchange Risk and The Invisible Hedge, and shared his expertise on CNBC and in publications like the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg.
A Utah State University graduate, David enjoys mountain biking and boating, and his goal is to build one of the country’s leading FX departments while contributing to a strong, growing organization.
