As part of the 2025 Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Member Impact Fund, Bank of Utah helped secure more than $200,000 in grant funding for 30 nonprofit organizations — more than any other financial institution in the program. These grants are helping local organizations throughout Utah create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities they serve.

Enable Utah
Enable Utah helps individuals with disabilities gain confidence, build life skills and find meaningful work. Each day, between 120 and 200 clients walk through the doors to learn, grow and take steps toward greater independence. Whether it’s assembling products, shredding documents, or training for jobs in the community, every opportunity is designed to help clients feel capable, valued and empowered.
The organization is more than a training center, it’s a place where people are seen for what they can do, not what they can’t. By fostering a sense of purpose and belonging, Enable Utah helps individuals not only reach their goals, but also become active, contributing members of the community.
Bank of Utah is proud to support this mission through financial contributions and hands-on service. In addition to the 2025 Member Impact Fund grant, Bank of Utah team members regularly volunteer with Enable Utah, building relationships and lending a hand where it matters most.
Funding from this year’s grant will help expand job training, life skills programs and employment placement services, ensuring more individuals have the support they need to lead fuller, more independent lives.
In addition to financial support, Bank of Utah is committed to volunteering with Enable Utah. Cherie Hanson, SVP of Marketing & Communications, serves as an ambassador, supporting the organization’s annual events and outreach efforts.
