Bank Of Utah
Warm Bodies and Souls for the Holidays
Ogden, Utah, November 21, 2011
Bank of Utah hopes to warm both bodies and souls this holiday season by holding a warm clothing drive in conjunction with the Bank's annual sponsorship of Jon Schmidt Christmas concerts in Ogden and Salt Lake City. The popular New Age piano composer and performer will delight audiences at Peery's Egyptian Theater in Ogden on Dec. 6, and in Salt Lake City at Kingsbury Hall, December 16 and 17. Those nights the bank will accept donations of new or in-good-condition coats, hats, scarves, gloves and blankets, and new children's underwear. All will be donated to St. Anne's Center in Ogden and Crossroads Urban Center in Salt Lake City.
"Jon Schmidt is a home-grown Utah talent who has gone well beyond our state's boundaries in popularity," said Scott H. Parkinson, Bank of Utah's senior vice president of retail banking. "Sponsoring his concerts is one way that we can warm the hearts and souls of our patrons and the community. Another way to provide warmth is to donate winter coats for families in need. We hope the community will enjoy the Jon Schmidt concerts and get behind our warm clothing drive."
