A lot is happening behind the scenes to make your conversion to Bank of Utah as seamless as possible. This page is designed to give informative updates on the conversion process.
All AmBank accounts and loans will be converted to Bank of Utah starting Friday, November 30, 2018 at 5:00 pm (MST) and continuing through the weekend. By Monday, December 3, 2018 at 7:00 am (MST), all AmBank accounts will be converted to Bank of Utah.
Here are checklists you should complete to minimize the impact of the conversion. Expanded Information for each account or loan is listed below the To-Dos.
Your To-Do List
|Complete BEFORE Friday, November 30 at 5:00 pm (MST):|
|Account History & Statements. Download your bank statements and year-to-date transaction history for your account (if needed for tax purposes) from your AmBank online banking. This transaction history will not be available for download after November 30.|
|Bill Pay. AmBank bill pay will not be available after November 28 at 4:30 pm. Write down or print your online banking bill pay payment information, including payee names, addresses, account numbers, etc. Make note of any future or scheduled payments that will occur after November 30.|
|Transfers. Reoccurring transfers will continue after conversion as currently setup. However, online banking transfers scheduled on December 1 or 2 will not be processed. Make any transfers through AmBank online banking before November 30 or through Bank of Utah online banking after December 3.|
|Automatic Payments & Direct Deposit. Your electronic payments and direct deposits will automatically route to Bank of Utah on December 3.|
|Debit Cards. Your AmBank card will work until December 3 at 7:00 am. You will receive a Bank of Utah debit card before November 30. When your Bank of Utah debit card arrives, activate it. This new debit card will be ready to use on December 1.|
|Mobile App. Download the Bank of Utah Mobile App from the Apple Store® or Google Play®.|
|Online Banking. AmBank online banking will be down starting November 30 at 5:00 pm and continue until December 3 at 7:00 am.|
|Complete AFTER Monday, December 3 at 7:00 am (MST):|
|Online Banking. Login to Bank of Utah online banking using the same username and password used to access AmBank online banking. You will need to set a password. You can use the same password that you are currently using for your AmBank online banking. Business and personal online banking use the same login site. If you have multiple usernames, you will need to complete this process for all usernames.|
|Bill Pay. Personal bill pay customers can start by logging in to Bank of Utah's online banking and click the "Bill Payment" tab. You will be prompted to select the accounts for bill pay, then click "Enroll in Bill Pay". Add payees and schedule payments, including any recurring payments. View more information and frequently asked questions. Business bill pay customers can start by logging in to Bank of Utah's online banking and click "Transactions" then "Enroll in Bill Pay". You will be prompted to select the accounts for bill pay, then click "Enroll in Bill Pay".|
|Mobile App. Launch the Bank of Utah mobile app for Apple or Android. Enter your username and password you created for Bank of Utah and click "Login".|
|Checks. Personal account holders will receive a starter pack of Bank of Utah checks starting December 1 and can begin using them upon arrival. AmBank checks will also function after the conversion.|
|Account & Routing Number. You will keep your AmBank account number but the routing number will change. Bank of Utah's routing number is 124300107.|
|Automatic Payments & Direct Deposit. Your electronic payments and direct deposits will automatically convert to Bank of Utah. Bank of Utah will send notices of change to your depositors and payees on your behalf. If you would like to expedite the process, you can submit a change to update the routing number to those processing the payment or direct deposit.|
|Branch Hours. AmBank locations will close on Friday, November 30 at normal hours (6:00 pm) and remain closed through the weekend. These locations will re-open on Monday, December 3 at normal, posted hours.|
Account & Routing Numbers
Your AmBank deposit account(s) will be converted to the most similar deposit account(s) at Bank of Utah. A letter was mailed to AmBank customers on Nov. 2 with specific account information, along with the terms and conditions for your new Bank of Utah deposit account. You will keep your account number(s). Starting December 3, the routing number for your accounts will be 124300107. Your attention to utilizing this new routing number on checks and automated transactions will facilitate a smooth transition to Bank of Utah.
Before November 30, personal banking customers will receive a starter pack of Bank of Utah checks with the new routing number. You may begin using the Bank of Utah checks with the new routing number on December 1.
Your current AmBank checks will continue to function as normal after the conversion. Business customers can contact their local branch for assistance and to answer any questions about their existing check supply. NOTE: If you no longer want to use AmBank checks, don't throw them in the trash! For your security, always shred unwanted checks.
We will convert all loans to Bank of Utah with their existing terms and conditions. Your loan number will not change. Future loan billing statements will contain a new address for payments to be sent. You may continue making loan payments at any branch.
AmBank Debit Card
Your AmBank debit card will continue to function until Monday, December 3 at 7:00 am. Any transactions completed using your AmBank debit card between November 30 and December 2 will be reflected on your Bank of Utah account.
Bank of Utah Debit Card
You will receive a new Bank of Utah debit card before December 1 and can activate it upon receipt. This card will have a different number from your current AmBank debit card. You can begin using this card on December 1. If you have not received your Bank of Utah debit card by November 28, contact your AmBank branch or call Bank of Utah at (800) 516-5559.

Access Online Banking
Beginning December 3, you can access your accounts at www.BankofUtah.com using the same username (Access ID) you used with AmBank. The first time you login to your account at bankofutah.com, you will confirm your identity using your email or phone number, then select a new password. The new password selected can be the same as your AmBank password. Using Mobile Apps
Access to your accounts through the AmBank mobile app will end on Friday, November 30 at 5:00 pm. Starting Monday, December 3 at 7:00 am, you can access your accounts using Bank of Utah's mobile app. Launch the Bank of Utah mobile app for Apple Store or Google Play. Enter your username and password you created for Bank of Utah and click Login. Choose your preferred communication method to receive your Secure Access Code. Enter the Secure Access Code and click "Submit".

Account History & eStatements
Download your bank account statements and year-to-date transaction history (if needed for tax purposes) from your AmBank online banking. This transaction history will not be available for download after 5:00 pm on November 30. Any pending transactions at the time of conversion will be added to your new account at Bank of Utah.
All AmBank deposit accounts will generate eStatements on November 30. We will mail a copy of these statements for all deposit accounts. For future statements, we will follow your prior preference for either paper or electronic statements. We will make the November 30 statements available in online banking as soon as they are available. We will make prior statements available in online banking within 1-2 months after conversion. If you need any past statements during this time and you did not save copies prior to November 30, you may contact your local branch or call toll free (800) 516-5559 after December 3 to request a copy.
We will automatically convert scheduled and recurring transfers you have established on your account. However, we will not process scheduled or recurring transfers that would normally occur on December 1 or 2. You will need to make these transfers before or after the conversion.
